Project Highlight: West Olive
The homeowners for this West Olive new home build chose the Xi Wall System because of its affordable cost, the efficiency of placing the foundation wall panels, and the way the dune and property could be supported and protected. The Xi Wall System was quickly installed and backfilled, which meant the dune was exposed to less invasion, and the property was safeguarded.
While pleased with the efficient time frame for installing the foundation walls, the homeowners were also excited that the foundation had less of a “basement” feel—the space quickly became additional living space with even more square footage than they had planned.
Homeowners get more square footage at the foundation level without stick framing because the Xi Wall System doesn’t require additional damp proofing or insulation. The homeowners were pleased with how Great Lakes Superior Walls responded to the contractor and architect with their needs and desires!
The sustainability and low carbon footprint were a highlight for the homeowners, who are thrilled with the finished results.
Project Highlight: Silver Lake
Our crew left at 4:30 a.m. to arrive at the project site by 7 a.m. The final grade was on the gravel by 8:30 when the crane and walls arrived, and the first wall was in the air within ten minutes.
Everything was going perfectly except for one thing: Memorial Day traffic! Our second truck was delayed by an hour, during which time our generous client provided a breakfast pizza to our crew. Once the second truck arrived, the final wall was set by 11:17 a.m. — a total of 2 hours and 47 minutes (counting the hour of waiting for the second truck).
Our client said this about his experience: “After the walls were in place, they checked to make sure the panels were straight and square. This week, I am so very proud to say the tradition of exceeding expectations continued.”
Project Highlight: New Home Build
This project was a new home built by DeLoof Builders. The homeowners chose to use our Xi Wall System based on the cost and time-saving benefits of using foundation walls with built-in insulation, which is ready to finish and set in one day. They were so pleased with the Xi Wall System that they even used Superior Walls for their main floor walls! The homeowners have been thrilled with the cost savings of using our wall system throughout the build process and with the continued cost savings of heating and cooling their home!
