Great Lakes Superior Walls precast foundation walls are moisture-resistant and don’t require additional damp-proofing, saving you time and money.
Although the ACI (American Concrete Institute) standard is 3,000 psi, we use a minimum, moisture-resistant, 5,000+ psi concrete mix that doesn’t require additional damp-proofing. In addition to the specified crushed stone footing and perimeter drain, water will be directed away from your foundation, helping to keep your home dry.
Our patented technologies and exceptional manufacturing methods make our foundation walls superior in every way, including:
- clean, crushed stone footing;
- an auxiliary drainpipe to drain water away from the foundation;
- and three beads of a urethane sealant applied to all joints for a permanent moisture barrier.
Warm.
State energy codes require that basement living spaces be insulated when building a new home. The Great Lakes Superior Walls foundation wall systems feature a continuous layer of insulation bonded directly to the concrete, meeting most energy code requirements.
The high energy efficiency of our foundation walls can reduce energy costs by $300-500 per year in heating and cooling (based on a 2,000 sq. ft. home), without utilizing any additional insulation!
Our walls include:
- 2 ½” of polyisocyanurate insulation;
- 1” foam insulation on concrete studs;
- 1” foam insulation on bond beam;
- and 5,000 psi concrete reinforced with rebar and polypropylene fibers.
