Dry
Great Lakes Superior Walls precast foundation walls are moisture resistant and don’t require additional damp-proofing, saving you time and money.
We use a moisture-resistant, 4,000 psi concrete mix that doesn’t require additional damp-proofing. In addition to the specified crushed stone footing and perimeter drain, water will be directed away from your foundation, helping to keep you home dry.
Our patented technologies and exceptional manufacturing methods make our foundation walls superior in every way, including:
- clean, crushed stone footing;
- an auxiliary drainpipe to drain water away from the foundation;
- and an urethane sealant applied to all joints for a permanent moisture barrier.
Warm
When building a new home, state energy codes require that basement living spaces be insulated. The Great Lakes Superior Walls foundation wall systems feature a continuous layer of insulation bonded directly to the concrete, meeting most energy code requirements.
The high energy efficiency of our foundation walls can reduce energy costs by $300-500 per year in heating and cooling, without utilizing any additional insulation!
Our walls include:
- 2 ½” of polyisocyanurate insulation;
- 1” foam insulation on concrete studs;
- 1” foam insulation on bond beam;
- and 4,000 PSI concrete reinforced with rebar and polypropylene fibers.
Smart
The superior walls difference is the smart choice because of our green-certified, energy-efficient precast foundation wall system and the efficiency in which our certified, trained crews install our wall systems in an average of five hours.
Great Lakes Superior Walls is proud that our insulated, precast concrete walls have achieved the National Green Building Standard (NGBS) certification.
The NGBS is the only green building rating system for homes approved by the American National Standards Institute. Green homes are better designed and constructed to be more comfortable, have lower operating costs, be more durable, and incorporate advanced building science.
